Ground Trick Certification · 平花認證

Flatland Levels F1–F3

Ground Trick is treated as a specialist snowboard discipline in its own right. Each level will be assessed on snow against criteria to be published by the Technical Committee, with certificates issued by CGIA, independently of the Carving pathway.

Technical and teaching assessments are conducted separately. Participants who pass an assessment earn the corresponding Technical Badge or Teaching Badge and receive a document confirming that achievement. Only participants who have earned both badges at the same level can be awarded the Instructor Certificate and become a CGIA-certified instructor at that level. Example: C1 Technical Badge + C1 Teaching Badge → C1 Instructor Certificate; F1 Technical Badge + F1 Teaching Badge → F1 Instructor Certificate. A Technical Badge or Teaching Badge alone is not an instructor qualification; both badges and their documents are retained after the Instructor Certificate is awarded.

Technical and teaching each progress F1 → F2 → F3; the previous level in the same route must be passed first. The Technical Badge does not require an instructor qualification, and training is optional. F4 is the planned Flatland examiner level and is not yet open.

CGIA is currently in preparation. The Technical Committee has confirmed participating members, while its structure and responsibilities are still being finalised. Technical and teaching assessment standards have not yet been written; they will be developed jointly by the Technical Committee.

Proposed Framework

What Ground Trick assessment looks at.

CGIA specialist certifications are assessed through a formal professional examination process. Detailed assessment standards and examiner criteria are controlled CGIA materials.

The assessment content below is a proposed framework published for transparency. Criteria, weighting and pass thresholds are pending ratification by the CGIA technical committee and are not yet effective examination rules.
